Testing out the Main Entry Tab Green Products Made in Hawaii!! Get Clean, Go Green!
With spring here, Earth Day fast approaching (April 22nd), and gas prices still climbing, it's not hard to see why many of us have green on the brain. In fact, recent events have left some of us pondering how we can change and Go Green without missing out? Not sure where to start? Take it one step at a time. Conservation is really about making eventual changes in a few different areas of your life. Such as using an all natural eco-friendly skin care line like Hawaiian Bath & Body.
Going Green and Getting Clean!
This month's issue of Free Surf Magazine (based on Oahu’s North Shore) is "Green!" and we are happy to have a quarter page ad and see this kind of attention on Green and Sustainable companies. We are, and have always been, a Green Company located on the North Shore of Oahu. Our natural products are vegetable oil based, without petroleum based ingredients, and we avoid the use of harmful chemicals throughout our natural product line.
We all have heard of "Natural” or "Green” products, but what does this mean? Here at the North Shore Soap Factory, we use only natural preservatives, not harsh chemicals or synthetics. We incorporate as many organically grown and certified organic ingredients as we can into our products. Our entire skin care line is absolutely Paraben Free! All our ingredients are clearly listed for your information and protection.
We work with quality Suppliers to ensure a quality finished product. Our labels are printed with soy based ink and our soap boxes are made from 30% post consumer recycled material. We are proud to be using a box manufacturer from the US who is as concerned about our environment as we are. They were awarded the Forest Stewardship Council Certification for only using wood pulp from sustainable harvested forests. They are a role model in their industry. In addition, our printing company for our handout media has just been awardered the Forest Stewardship Council Certification too!
Even our Factory interior is built from recycled construction materials that were saved from unnecessarily going into our dumps and land fills. We also recycle all of our botlles, boxes etc. at our local recycling facility.
The reason to "Go Green" with our company was evident when we started this business in 1996. Chemically based skin care was and still is harmful to you(skin sensitivities), to our lands (wasteful and damaging manufacturers), and to our oceans (water pollution from our drains!). Our natural alternative is gentle on your skin and on our planet. Today, a decade later, we still hold true to our values as we grow this company and expand our natural skin care line. We are still educating people on the benefits of natural skin care as we share Hawaiian Bath & Body with Hawaii and beyond.
Aloha and Ahui Ho!
