There are many reasons why the North Shore Soap Factory is a “green” and eco-friendly company. Because we create all our recipes from scratch and formulate them in our own factory, we can guarantee the quality of each ingredient. We use food grade vegetable oils, scent with pure essential oils and only use natural colorants, not dyes or artificial colorings. Each product we make is free of harsh chemicals like parabens. petroleum bases and synthetic dies. Locally grown ingredients, not cheap, shipped-in synthetics, are essential to our unique, proprietary formulas. Organic ingredients ensure the well being of our product and the well being of our natural resources. Everything is biodegradable and compostable.
Our minimal packaging is also eco-friendly – our box and label suppliers both use recycled, post consumer waste to make their products, use soy based ink and they’re both certified forestry stewards! Did you know our soap factory was built almost entirely of reused and recycled construction materials?! Tons of material saved from our dumps!
